Hassan Mousavi stated that 869 mcm of natural gas were supplied to the grid on Monday, with 643 mcm used in the residential, commercial, and small industrial sectors.

He emphasized that 74% of the total natural gas supplied to the national grid was allocated to these sectors.

Mousavi highlighted the increased cold temperatures this year, noting that gas consumption in the residential, commercial, and small industrial sectors on Monday was 15% higher compared to the same day last year.

Following forecasts of colder weather and a potential drop in temperatures, President Masoud Pezeshkian, Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad, and other government officials urged citizens to participate in the “2 Degrees Less” campaign to promote efficient energy use and ensure sufficient winter fuel supply. Their appeal was shared through written and video messages.
