Gas production from South Pars  Phase 11 increases

SHANA (Tehran) – The CEO of Petropars Group announced an increase in gas production from Phase 11 of South Pars (Well No. 12) following acidizing operations, stating that this achievement is the result of unity and collaboration within the group.

Hamidreza Saqafi said the acidizing operation for Well No. 12 on Platform B of Phase 11 of South Pars was successfully completed, leading to increased gas production from the well.

He noted that Well No. 12, the seventh well drilled this Aban (October 22-November 20), has been brought into production, boosting the country’s daily gas production capacity.

Saqafi added that production from the well increased by 1.5 million cubic meters per day after the acidizing operation, injection of acid and related additives, and connection to offshore flowlines.

The Petropars CEO highlighted the challenging weather conditions in the Persian Gulf this season, emphasizing that this success was achieved through the unity and coordination of operational teams.

 Their precise planning and full coordination ensured the timely completion of the acidizing operation. This accomplishment demonstrates that synergy and expertise can overcome challenges and achieve significant goals.

Saqafi stated that Petropars Group’s priority has always been to help address the country’s energy imbalance. This production increase is a significant step toward ensuring stable energy supply and continuing the development of Phase 11 of South Pars.

Last week, Mohammadreza Rajaei, the director of the Phase 11 South Pars development project at Pars Oil and Gas Company, also announced the completion of the acidizing operation for the seventh well on Platform SPD11B in the shared South Pars field.
