Gas supply to power plants rises by 180 mcm in one month

SHANA (Tehran) – Masoud Kazemi, deputy for dispatching operations at the National Iranian Gas Company, announced that the cumulative gas supply to power plants in the ninth month of the current Iranian year (Nov. 21-Dec. 20) increased by 180 million cubic meters (mcm) compared to the same period last year.

Kazemi noted that the average daily gas supply to power plants in the ninth month of previous Iranian year was 136 mcm. This year, the daily average rose to 142 mcm, marking a six mcm increase per day.

He emphasized the cumulative rise of 180 mcm for the ninth month of the current Iranian year compared to the previous year.

In related news, Mohammad Sadeq Azimifar, CEO of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company, recently highlighted a 50% growth in diesel supply to power plants under the 14th administration.

He stated that the average daily diesel delivery to power plants in the ninth month of the current Iranian year reached 51 million liters.
