Azim Kalantari-Asl, head of RIPI, introduced the institute's latest achievements during the visit on Saturday.
He emphasized RIPI’s readiness to collaborate with GECF member countries in both upstream and downstream sectors of the oil and gas industry.
Kalantari-Asl highlighted potential areas for collaboration, including:
- Conventional and unconventional gas reservoirs (exploration and production)
- Gas storage technologies (ANG, underground storage, etc.)
- Enhanced oil and gas recovery
- CO2 capture and utilization
- Separation and management of advanced chemicals (polymers, catalysts, nanoparticles, etc.)
- Petro-refinery design and engineering
- Flare gas recovery (FGR)
- Production of helium, blue hydrogen, and LNG technologies (mini-LNG)
- Energy optimization
- Training programs
The GECF delegates toured the downstream campus facilities, laboratories related to gas, catalysts, nanotechnology, GTL, upstream research for enhanced oil recovery (EOR/IOR) methods, petroleum engineering, and geoscience at RIPI.
The 26th Ministerial Meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum is set to take place on Sunday, in the Iranian capital of Tehran.
