NIOPDC Releases Fuel Delivery Data

SHANA (Tehran)—The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC), Keramat Veis-Karami, says that in the first seven months of this Iranian calendar year, which began on March 21, about 9.7 billion liters of liquid fuel have been delivered to the country’s power plants, representing a 38% increase compared to the same period last year.

Speaking at a conference of the company’s directors on Wednesday, on the topic of “Winter Fuel Supply,” he added that since the beginning of this year, an average of 124.6 million liters of gasoline have been distributed daily in the country, implying a 7.4% increase when compared to the same period last year. 

He further noted that diesel consumption followed a more or less similar trend, reaching 111 million liters per day in the first seven months of this year, which is 5.5% higher than last year.
