According to the Shana correspondent, during his visit to Platform A of Phase 18 and Platform of Phase Five of the South Pars joint gas field on Saturday, Mohsen Paknejad said: “The oil industry staff are devoted people for the creation of the country’s wealth and the provision of energy security for the household, commercial, and industrial sectors and that is why I traveled to Assalyueh to appreciate the efforts of the oil industry employees.”
He added, “This trip was made as we approach the colder months of the year when the country faces challenges given the imbalance in gas production and consumption.”
The Minister of Petroleum expressed his gratitude to the employees stationed in the Assaluyeh region, both those working on the platforms and those in the gas processing plants, stating, “These are the frontline workers in the country’s energy production.”
Regarding resolving the energy imbalance, Paknejad said, “We will try to manage the energy imbalance by focusing on energy production and optimizing consumption.”
He noted, “The issue of imbalance is not the result of the past six months or one to two years but a long-term process caused by factors such as delays in upstream investment for production and problems with energy consumption optimization. Naturally, resolving the imbalance will take time. However, our entire effort is to get through the coming winter with minimum challenges.”
