Speaking on the sidelines of the inaugural ceremony of the event, Gholamreza Jamali, director of the exhibition added that based on the expo motto of “Petroleum industry, production leap and technological optimization”, the event facilitates sharing best approaches as well as addressing the challenges facing the oil industry.
He stated that Iran Oil Show, showcasing the latest developments and technologies in the field of oil, is the largest industrial-commercial event in Iran and one of the largest oil exhibitions in Middle East.
“The event brings together oil industry experts, officials of state-run and private sector as well as international companies to discuss cooperation and investment opportunities in Iran's prosperous oil industry,” he said.
Pointing to the unveiling of new technologies, innovations and equipment in the field of production and development of the oil industry as one of the main points of the Iran Oil Show 2024, the official added that domestic and foreign companies vitrine modern equipment and technologies that are used to improve operational efficiency, increase production along with minimizing costs and environmental impacts.
In addition to showcasing the capabilities and policies on production, economy and technology by bodies active in oil industry, Jamali said it is scheduled to hold numerous specialized meetings, brainstorming events, round tables and workshops with the presence of senior managers of the oil industry and private sector firms.
“Considering the growing need to use the potentials of technology-based companies to solve problems for increasing productivity, the latest developments and proposals of private sector companies to help the oil industry are also presented, so the conditions are provided for technology sharing and cooperation between the players of the oil industry,” he noted.
The senior managers, experts, specialists and representatives of the Ministry of Oil --according the designation of the current Iranian year by the Leader as the year of “Surge in production through people's participation” and initiatives of the 13th government— outline key projects and investment incentives in oil sector.
The official went on to explain that participants in the exhibition have the opportunity to interact with policymakers to raise concerns and explore potential partnerships to support the boom of Iran's oil industry.
Iran’s oil industry, enjoying rich history and promising future, is ready for keeping continued growth and success, Jamali said adding that events like the Iran Oil Show will play an important role in paving the path to success of the industry.
“I am proud to announce that 28th Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition is being held with the presence of 1,500 domestic firms as well as 250 foreign companies in an area of more than 70,000 square meters. In addition to Iranian firms, companies from 12 countries are partaking in Iran oil Show 2024,” he stated.
In this year’s exhibition, as in previous years, participants from the upstream, intermediate and downstream sectors of the oil industry, along with associations and unions of oil industry equipment manufacturers, first-time producers and new technology-based firms (NTBFs) are showcasing their achievements in the event which will run by Saturday.
Due to the importance of the technology-based structure in the oil industry, more than 80 NTBFs, 23 academic firms and 64 startups are showcasing their products in the event, Jamali concluded.
