Collecting Seismic Data Contract Signed

SHANA (Tehran) – TENCO will implement 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional seismic operations in the north and northwestern of Iran over a two years period based on a contract signed on Tuesday, April 16.

The contract was signed between the manager of the NIOC Directorate of Exploration, Mehdi Fakour and managing director of Neign Afaq Kish Energy Development Company (TENCO), Abdolrasoul Aghajani. The contract covers an area spanning 900 square kilometers and 1550 square kilometers respectively with the aim of collecting 3-dimensional and 2-dimensional seismic data in Moughan region in the northwest of the country.

Based on the contract, 15 million euros and 10.000 billion rials, Iranian currency, will be spent to carry out the operations that finally will lead to the clarification of the oil and gas exploratory situation in the region.

At the signing ceremony of the contract, TENCO’s managing director thanked the NICO's Directorate of Exploration for concluding the contract, saying the two sides have been working with each other for fifteen years with the aim of helping the oil industry as far as it concerns making progress and providing services.

He added: we hope that completion of this project will be another step in the direction of attaining mutual target that is the oil industry prosperity.
