Talking to SHANA, Jalil Salari added a unit having a 43,000-barrel capacity will come on stream in Abadan, a city in the southwestern province of Khuzestan.
According to the official, Abadan Refinery’s daily gasoline output will rise nine million liters and its diesel production will jump five million liters per day when the unit is put into operation.
Another unit will become operational in Shiraz Refinery, also in southwestern Iran, which will upgrade the quality of its gasoline to Euro 4 standards.
Touching upon the progress of the project of Shahid Soleimani Refinery-Integrated Petrochemical Plant, he said the stockholders’ assembly comprising funds, banks, and the Persian Gulf Holding has been formed and a piece of land having an area of about 200 hectares in Bandar Abbas, southern Iran, has been allocated to the project.
Environmental and passive defense permits for the project have been received, said Salari, pointing to the start of basic studies.
The licensed units have been assigned, mentioned the NIORDC CEO, expressing hope the executive operations of the project will begin soon.
Shifting to overseas projects, he talked of upcoming agreements on cooperation of domestic companies, including knowledge-based firms and manufacturing companies, with foreign countries in overhauling systems.
“We are focusing on the continuation of negotiations with neighboring states,” underlined Salari, said NIORDC links domestic companies to foreign companies.
