Iran, Iraq confer about integrated development of joint fields, gas trade

SHANA (Tehran) – The Iranian and Iraqi oil ministers discussed the integrated development of joint fields, trade of gas and oil products, payment methods, and development of infrastructure on Saturday.

Javad Owji and Hayan Abdel-Ghani, who held talks on the sidelines of the 7th Gas Exporting Countries Forum Summit of Heads of State and Government in the Algerian capital Algiers, decided to give first priority to the integrated development of shared fields with smaller volume and second priority to main and larger joint fields.

Bilateral cooperation on collecting flare gas and drilling oil fields were also reviewed during the ministers’ talks.
