Following the precommissioning and commissioning operations as well as preliminary and final tests of the new offshore pipeline of SP Phase 16, its offshore gas platform and installations and other onshore facilities started work on October 12, 2023 after receiving gas from its block.

Aiming to start early production before this winter, the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) paved the way for producing 28 million cubic meters of gas a day after taking the safety measures to protect the old offshore pipeline and connecting the new one to the existing onshore pipeline.
