The 2nd Exhibition and Conference of Technology Management and Increasing Knowledge-based Production in Value Chain of Petroleum Industry dubbed Petro Tech opened in Tehran on Tuesday.

Azim Kalantari-Asl, the head of the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI) and event executive secretary, read out the minister’s message.

In line with decrees of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on growth of production in the context of knowledge-based economy, the Oil Ministry has given top priority to the development of research, technology, and knowledge-based companies in the oil industry’s value chain, the minister continued.  

More than 150 knowledge-based companies have participated in the three-day event hosted by RIPI on the occasion of the Research Week.

Expert-level sessions have been scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday and contracts for first-time production will be signed by the four main companies of the Oil Ministry.

The 1st Petro Tech conference and exhibition was held in November 2022.
