The president, who talked during his second visit to Alborz Province, 20km west of Tehran, one day after his return from Moscow, added a Russian official said the SP Phase 11 project was a “great” task and should be publicized.

Raeisi said the project was a big risk taken by Iranian experts, who did the great job after foreign companies such as TotalEnergies and Shell withdrew from it.

In late August, the president inaugurated the SP Phase 11 in southern Iran after a 20-year hiatus.

Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Company Mohsen Khojastehmehr described transportation and relocation of a 3,200-ton platform installed at Phase 11 as “unparalleled” in Iran’s oil industry in terms of execution and complexity.

Phase 11 is the farthest border section of South Pars gas field Iran shares with Qatar in the Persian Gulf waters.
