The Tasmanian Government says a further announcement on the controversial natural gas rollout is imminent.

The Greens have renewed their attack on the project. Duke Energy Management has said delays in naming a natural gas supplier are deterring potential customers from Tasmania's gas pipeline. The Tasmanian Greens seized on the comments, saying it highlighted what it describes as the State Government's bungling of the project. Greens MHA Nick McKim says it is also threatening investment in Tasmania. "There are some senior figures in the investment community in Australia who are sitting around today, asking themselves whether Tasmania is a good place to invest money," he said. But the State Government is standing by its handling of the project and says a further statement on the rollout is due in the next week. PIN/ABC ONLINE
