TEHRAN – The olefin production unit of Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company will start producing ethylene and propylene in the coming weeks, its managing-director said.
Hossein-Ali Zahmatkesh told PIN the olefin unit is being supplied with feedstock.
The first consignment of low-density polyethylene produced by Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company is to be sent to China.
China is among Irans target markets for export of polymer products and it will take 10-15 days before a consignment reaches Chinese ports.
Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company is implementing the sixth olefin project and is located south of Special Economic Petrochemical Zone, northwest of Bandar Imam Petrochemical Complex.
