Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the complex in the southwestern province of Kohgilouyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi described the project launch as a major step toward boosting production, increasing job opportunities, and bringing fresh hope to people.

Homegrown equipment, engineering, design, production chain and job creation for 3,000 people are among the features of the project of Gachsaran Petrochemical Complex, said the president, adding the launched project also helps prevent the waste of flare gas and national wealth as well as the pollution of air.

Raeisi arrived in the provincial capital Yasouj on Monday morning as part of his second-round visits to provinces.
