
TEHRAN — All the necessary measures for importation of Toyota automobiles into Iran have been taken and the cars entry to Irans market is certain, noted Toyota sales director in Iran.
“Required licenses for the importation into Iran of three models of Toyota cars have been issued by the Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran (ISIRI), Department of the Environment and Fuel Conservation Organization”, Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) Quoted Sharabiani on Wednesday.
He also commented that the imports are made on a 100-percent tariff basis in the new Iranian year (starting March 21, 2005).
Moreover, he asserted that in light of their suitable prices, he expected that the cars would account for 20 percent of the total cars to be imported into the country adding that, 71 Toyota authorized dealers and after-sales services representatives would be offering services to the customers across the country.
