Talking to SHANA, Mehrdad Goudarzvand Chegini pointed to a statement issued by 220 members of the Parliament to appreciate the ministry’s outstanding performance, adding the Oil Ministry in the 13th (incumbent) administration has also managed to collect debts.

The vice chairman of the Parliament’s Planning and Budget Committee said the legislative body not only questions ministers and even impeach them, if necessary, but also does not ignore their achievements.

“I was among the Parliament’s representatives, who signed the statement of appreciating Oil Minister [Javad Owji], as I am convinced that the oil minister has so far had brilliant performance and greatly developed the country’s oil and gas industry.”
