The signing ceremony was held in the presence of Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi and his Venezuelan counterpart Nicolas Maduro.

The two countries agreed to cooperate in the energy, communications and information technology, insurance, maritime transportation, higher education, agricultural, medical and pharmaceutical, cultural, and mining fields.

Iran’s Oil Minister Javad Owji, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Defense Minister Mohammad-Reza Ashtiani, Health Minister Bahram Eynollahi, and Culture Minister Mohammad-Mehdi Esmaeili and their Venezuelan counterparts signed the documents.
