Delivering speech at the opening ceremony of the Export Potential Exhibition of the Islamic Republic of Iran, aka Iran Expo 2023: Gate of Export, Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi added Iran’s industrial achievements amid severe sanctions and pressures have stunned foreign experts.

Such exhibitions play an effective and positive role in establishing new relations and developing present ties between Iranian industrialists and traders and their foreign counterparts.

Iran was previously known for its oil and gas industries, stated the president, adding the country’s capabilities and capacities in other sectors were ignored and were not introduced to the world, as domestic oil and gas industries received a lot of attention.

Raeisi said his administration has paid due heed to balanced and proportional development of economic and manufacturing sectors and has avoided having a one-dimensional view on oil and gas industries with the aim of accelerating the expansion of economic and trade relations with other states in new arenas.

More than 700 industrial, mining, and export companies have taken part in Iran Expo 2023 to showcase the country’s achievements in different areas to the world, the president concluded.

The Export Potential Exhibition of the Islamic Republic of Iran will run through May 10.
