Raeisi describes oil sales rise as his administration’s ‘achievement’

SHANA (Tehran) – Iran’s president on Friday described the increase in oil sales and the hard currency supply as a part of his administration’s “achievements”.

Talking to representatives of university students, Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi added the country’s oil exports have increased despite unprecedented pressures from the enemy.

Last month, Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji said 83 million more oil barrels were exported in 1401 starting March 21, 2022, when compared to its preceding Iranian year.

The Ministry of Petroleum is among those departments that meet the country’s foreign currency need, said Owji, continuing, “Despite the ramp-up of brutal sanctions against Iran, crude oil, gas condensate, and petrochemical exports have hit new highs during the13th [Raeisi] administration.”
