2mcm Gas Recovered in South Zagros

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The head of the exploitation engineering department of the South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company said by conducting specialized and monitoring operations and tests 2 million cubic meters of gas were recovered daily in South Zagros.

According to the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC), Mohammad Hassan Barzegar stated that with the aim of providing winter fuel and by performing more than 2,000 operations and monitoring and specialized tests on the production wells of South Zagros, while stabilizing the production, the daily production capacity is 2 mcm of gas has been restored.

Pointing out that the performance of these activities was the result of 5,000 hours of continuous work by technical management specialists of this company, he stated: “In the first seven months of the current calendar year (which began on March 21), by performing more than 2,000 operations and monitoring and specialized tests and corrective measures such as acid word, blocking, perforation and removal of obstacles on 6 wells, 2 mcm/d of this company's mandatory gas production capacity for the cold season was revived and stabilized.”

The head of the exploitation engineering department of the South Zagros Oil and Gas Exploitation Company stated: “16 other restoration operations have also led to an increase in the quality and continuity of the gas production of the ICOFC.”
