Iranian Minister of Petroleum Javad Owji attended the unveiling ceremony of the strategic item on Tuesday.

Javad Owji unveiled the wellhead equipment with a working pressure of 15,000 pounds per square inch (PSI) in Shamsabad Industrial Town, Tehran.

The design, production, testing and assembly of wellhead equipment has always been one of the concerns of Iran's oil industry, which fortunately was realized with the efforts of the country's domestic experts and the support of the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) and the economic group of Oil Industry Pension Funds.

Wellhead equipment with a working pressure of 15,000 PSI is one of the essential items of a project to supply 10 key oil industry items by the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum, which was built for the first time in the country and region based on knowledge-based production. So far, this equipment has been used and tested to meet the needs of Maroon field’s oil wells in the southern oil-rich regions and other such projects.

Designing and preparing plans for construction of well equipment with a working pressure of 15,000 pounds per square inch (PSI) was carried out by Wellhead Equipment Technology Co. (WETCO) without reverse engineering and using the Dual Stem system for ease of operation under pressure and using injectable seals with the design of holding prongs in coiled tubing.
