Offshore Pipe Laying Operation at 1st Phase 11 Platform Complete

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The offshore pipe laying operation of the gas transmission line of the first platform of Phase 11 of South Pars gas field has been completed in the Persian Gulf.

According to Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC), the pipe laying operation of the gas transmission line of offshore platform 11B of South Pars Phase 11, which started with the deployment of the C Master pipe-laying vessel on July 28, ended on Friday (August 12).

The operation includes a 32-inch offshore sour gas pipeline and a 4.5-inch monoethylene glycol injection pipeline of approximately 15 km length, which is connected to the 18th kilometer of offshore pipeline of the offshore platform 12C from phase 12 of South Pars.

The purpose of implementing this pipeline is to transmit 28 million cubic meters of gas produced from South Pars Platform 11B to the Phase 12 onshore refinery in Pars 2 Kangan region.

In addition to the offshore pipe laying section, the work description of the first phase of South Pars Phase 11 development plan includes installation of a jacket, transfer and installation of platform 12C topside to its position, drilling and completion of four wells in the joint South Pars gas field to increase its daily gas production capacity by 28 million cubic meters per day.
