Owji leaves Tehran for Ashgabat

TEHRAN (Shana) – Iranian Minister of Petroleum Javad Owji left Tehran for Ashagabat accompanying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi to attend the Summit of the Caspian littoral states.

"This trip will take place at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Turkmenistan to the summit of the Caspian littoral states," said Seyed Ebrahim Raisi this morning (Wednesday, June 29) prior to leaving for Turkmenistan, IRNA reported.

The sea is the heritage and capital of the littoral states, with more than 270 million people benefiting from it, he said.

Referring to Tehran's favorable relations with the Caspian littoral states, he added: "In addition to the legal status of the Caspian Sea and the promotion of security in the region, cooperation between countries in the field of transportation, trade, management of living resources in the Caspian Sea, environmental protection, preventing the presence of foreigners in the Caspian Sea, which is common to all the littoral states of the Caspian Sea, will be some of the topics to be discussed at the summit.”
