Iran Able to Meet Pakistan Oil, Gas Needs

TEHRAN (Shana) – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi emphasized Iran’s preparedness to enhance comprehensive cooperation with Pakistan, saying: "Iran has the necessary capacities to meet Pakistan's needs in various fields, including oil, gas and electricity."

"There are no restrictions on developing relations with Islamabad in the Islamic Republic of Iran," Seyed Ebrahim Raisi said on Tuesday evening (June 14) during a meeting with Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

“We are ready to promote comprehensive cooperation with Pakistan, and the Islamic Republic of Iran has the necessary capacity to meet Pakistan's needs in various fields, including oil, gas and electricity,” he said.

He called the fields of energy, transit and coordination in regional issues and crises as important aspects of the relations between the two countries, and added: "Discussions on these issues should become decisions and documents of cooperation."

Expressing satisfaction with the visit to Iran, the Pakistani Foreign Minister said: "We are fully prepared to complete and conclude the previous talks in the fields of security, trade and energy."
