Connecting to New Export Pipelines, Priority of Refining Industry

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) said: "In addition to stabilizing the capacity of gasoline production, increasing the number of tanks and connecting to the export lines of petroleum products is one of the important programs pursued in the refining industry."

According to IRNA, Jalil Salari said on Monday at the farewell ceremony and introduction of the director of the Persian Gulf Star Refinery: “One of the priority programs of the refining industry is to connect to new export lines of petroleum products.”

He said: "Some overseas projects are also planned for, the management of which should be entrusted to experienced young people in refineries such as the Persian Gulf Star Refinery."

The official said” "The Ministry of Petroleum’s view of existing refineries is not limited to stabilizing production, and refinery development plans have not been halted, and this strategy is being seriously pursued, given the existing capacities."
