NISOC Unveils Projects to Collect Flare Gas

TEHRAN (Shana) – The National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) has unveiled three flare gas collection projects.

According to the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC), a ceremony was held on Sunday, December 26, to unveil the proejcts at Maroon 6, Mansouri and Maroon 3 plans which will prevent flaring of 14.3 billion cubic feet of natural gas per year.

The Maroon 6 Flare Gas Collection Project has been awarded to Tamkar Gas Equipment Manufacturing Company under a five-year contract, so that the company can purchase 14 million cubic feet of flare gas per day from the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) for processing and consumption.

The Maroon 3 project has also been assigned to Hirbod Niroo Company under a five-year contract to collect 12 million cubic feet of flare gas per day with an investment of $8 million.

The Mansouri flare gas project will recover the gases sent to the flare of the Mansouri production unit by Hirbod Niroo Company under a five-year contract, which aims to collect 7 million cubic feet per day with an investment of $9 million.
