183m Euro LDPE Contract Signed

TEHRAN – The National Petrochemical Company has signed a contract with a consortium comprising Iranian, British and South Korean companies to build a low density polyethylene plant at Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company.

The contract is worth 182 million euros and was signed today between Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company and a consortium comprising Irans Namvaran, British Sembcorp Simon Carves Ltd, and South Koreas Dailem. The project will include detailed engineering, procurement of needed equipment and machinery, as well as construction and pre-commissioning. The low density polyethylene plant of Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company will be constructed taking advantage of technical know-how provided by the European Basel Company. The needed feedstock for the project, which is to be carried out in 30 months, will be supplied by Amir Kabir and Maroun petrochemical companies.
