Development Studies on Saadat Abad and Sarvestan Fields Finished

TEHRAN – Development studies on Saadat Abad and Sarvestan oil fields have been finished and signing contracts for various parts of the development project has been started since three months ago.

Director of South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company noted that the two fields can produce 25,000 barrels crude oil per day, which will be transferred to Shiraz refinery through a 30-inch pipeline. Javad Owji noted that the National Iranian Central Oil Company was planning to develop the two fields as two separate projects with Oil Industries Engineering and Construction Company (OIEC) present as contractor. “The projects will be jointly overseen by South Zagros Oil and Gas Company as well as the National Iranian Central Oil Company with the former company taking charge of the fields oil after development is over,” he noted. Owji said the two fields will be delivered to South Zagros Oil and Gas Company for crude production by the end of the Iranian year 1385 (March 2007). Saadat Abad and Sarvestan oil fields are located in Fars province near Saadat Abad and Sarvestan cities.
