Raisi Underlines Need to Form Specialized Economic Working Groups between Iran, Armenia

TEHRAN (Shana) – Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi stressed the need to form specialized working groups between Iran and Armenia.

During a meeting with the Prime Minister of Armenia, the President said that the formation of specialized working groups on economic issues, including energy exchange, joint production projects and financial exchanges, could be a suitable stimulus and a turning point in improving the level of cooperation between the two neighbors, reported President.ir.

This morning (Friday, September 17), on the second day of his visit to Tajikistan, Dr. Raisi met with the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, which was held in his presence at the residence of the Iranian President.

During the meeting the Iranian president emphasized the increase in the current level of economic relations between Iran and Armenia.

Referring to the industrial and private sector capacity of Iran to provide the goods and services required by Armenia, the President said: "Specialized working groups should advance agreements and economic cooperation based on a timetable and eliminate possible problems and obstacles in the implementation of these agreements."
