SPGC Ready for Winter Gas Supply

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The managing director of South Pars Gas Complex (SPGC) voiced the complex’s readiness to supply the country's gas consumption in the cold season.

Speaking in a meeting with Iranian Minister of Petroleum Javad Owji in Pars Special Economic Energy Zone on Thursday, Hadi Hashemzadeh Farhang said the overhaul of South Pars refineries will be completed by early November.

He said the zone was home to 12 refineries of South Pars Gas Field of which the overhaul of 8 plants have been completed, saying the remaining refineries in the complex would be fully overhauled by early November.

Hashemzadeh noted: “We are ready to supply about 700 million cubic meters of gas per day in winter.”

The Minister of Petroleum arrived in Assaluyeh this evening on his first operational visit, and after attending the tomb of the anonymous martyrs of Assaluyeh, examined the gas and petrochemical projects based in the area in a meeting with the relevant managers in the Pars Energy Special Economic Zone.
