Smuggling of Petroleum Products Close to Zero in Iran: CEO

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Products Refining and Distribution Company said: "With the launch of the Petroleum Products Request System (SADAF), I can say with confidence that smuggling of petroleum products in the country's borders, except for the Pakistani border, has been zero."

Alireza Sadeghabadi announced on Monday, August 2 at the unveiling ceremony of the petroleum products request system (SADAF): “Fortunately, the system has been launched successfully and now we can say with confidence that there is no smuggling in many borders of the country.”

He stressed: “Markets such as Afghanistan, Iraqi Kurdistan region and Armenia have a certain amount of demand and when most of it is supplied through the official channel, it shows that there is no smuggling.”

Sadeghabadi, noting that I can say with confidence that we no longer smuggle products on the Afghan border, added: "All these achievements have been the result of collective efforts."
