IGEDC to Launch 700km Pipelines, 200 MW Gas Pressure Stations by March 2022

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The CEO of the Iranian Gas Engineering and Development Company (IGDEC) announced completion of the project of 700 km of pipeline and 200 MW of gas pressure facilities by the end of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 20.

Bahram Salavati told a virtual ceremony to launch a number of national projects in the presence of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Thursday that the supplementary turbocharger stations of Bidboland, Farashband, Hosseinieh and Safashahr facilities had officially been inaugurated.

He continued: "In addition to these projects, 132 km of gas transmission lines, five telecommunication projects, 1,775 km of optical fiber, seven buildings and infrastructure facilities as well as two pressure control stations had recently been put into operation by the National Iranian Gas Company.”

Furthermore, eight turbochargers with a total capacity of 200 MW related to pressure boosting facilities in three cities and five gas transmission lines would be put into operation in the next two months, he added.
