The first Cooled LPG Consignment Loaded at South Pars Site 2

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The Director of Coordination and Supervision of Production at the National Iranian Gas Company said with the start of operation of the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) loading jetty of site 2 of South Pars (Tombak Export Jetty), the export of cooled LPG from the refineries of this site began and its first shipment was sent to the export destination.

According to the National Iranian Gas Company, Masoud Zardooyan stated: “In order to diversify the company's product portfolio from the refineries of site 2 of South Pars and considering the advantages of exporting cooled LPG to hot, necessary follow-ups to accelerate the operation of the jetty were carried out.”

He continued: "As a result of the measures taken and the cooperation of all the responsible bodies, including the National Iranian Oil Company, the National Petrochemical Company, the Ports and Shipping Organization and the Customs Administration, this jetty and the first cooled LPG export cargo was loaded from the 10th South Pars refinery.”

The Director of Production Coordination and Supervision of the National Gas Company stated: “By this plan, we can increase the speed and volume of loading, diversify the destination markets, create a more competitive environment among buyers and increase operational flexibility.”
