MOGPC Registers New Polymer Compound

TEHRAN (Shana) -- Maroon Oil and Gas Production Company (MOPGPC) succeeded in making a new two-dimensional polymer from zinc and organic binders from the category of coordination polymers.

According to the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC), the compound was registered internationally in the Cambridge database as a new compound after the exact structure was determined using single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.

In addition, a composite was prepared from this two-dimensional polymer, which has a higher efficiency for absorbing cationic dyes.

This two-dimensional polymer is used to remove water-soluble cationic dyes, and with the composite prepared from it, selective adsorption of water-soluble cationic dyes is possible.

The result of this research, which was conducted by Mohammad Alizadeh, an employee of MOGPC, as a doctoral project with professors from Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz and two professors from Degli University of Milan, Italy, was published in the Journal of Solid State Chemistry by Elsevier.

Coordination Polymer is a new class of materials that have attracted the attention of many industries around the world due to their special properties in the fields of organic and inorganic chemistry, biochemistry, materials, electrochemistry and pharmacy.
