According to IOOC, Ali Sarkahaki, head of Soroush platform repairs in the Bahregan district of the IOOC, said: "After imposition of the sanctions, despite spending a lot of money, some Iranian companies active in designing, manufacturing and repairing turbocompressors failed to launch this item, but we were able to do this by relying on local forces and capabilities.”
He said Aghajari Oil and Gas Company bought the turbocompressor from Siemens in 2010 to expand gas injection, adding: "Siemens was not available at the time of launching these devices and a commissioning agreement was signed with one of the Iranian companies that cooperated with Siemens. But the contracting company did not have the necessary expertise and the turbocompressor failed after 870 hours of operation.”
