No Power can Assault Iran Exports, Imports: NITC CEO

TEHRAN (Shana) – The CEO of the National Iranian Tanker Company, emphasizing that no power can harm the country’s exports and imports, said: "Free trade is Iran's right and we must make more efforts for the authority of the national fleet."

According to IRNA, Nasrullah Sardashti, speaking on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at the commemoration ceremony of the International Maritime Day, said his company had been able to help the country in the field of oil exports despite all the wrongdoing against Iran, saying, “When sanctions are imposed, the Ministry of Petroleum, the National Iranian Tanker Company and the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Line Group are at the receiving end of the embargoes which indicates the importance of the national fleet.”

He stressed that foreign ships could not be counted on under the sanctions as vessels are banned to enter Iranian waters, however, “no one can undermine exports and imports of the country.”

The CEO of the National Iranian Tanker Company stated that exporting gasoline to Venezuela may not be a big deal, but it showed the strength of the national fleet and the violation of sanctions, adding: "Free trade is Iran's right and no one can stop us."

In the end, the CEO of the National Tanker Company stated: “The fleet of the National Oil Tanker Company has no problem in supplying low sulfur fuel, and the Arak refinery has solved the fuel supply problem.”
