Marzieh Shahdaei speaking on Thursday, August 6, told a ceremony to launch Kimia Pars Middle East Petrochemical Project that construction of the Kimia Pars Middle East project began in 2016 with $600 million of investment.

The plant is developed for an annual production capacity of 1.65 million tons of methanol, she said, adding the project has created 700 direct jobs.

She further added that the holding company had 3 other methanol production projects under way.
