PEDEC Signs Deal with Petropars for Azadegan Oilfield Development

TEHRAN (Shana) – The Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC) is to sign a deal with Petropars Company for completing the development of South Azadegan field.

According to NIOC, the contract for the development of South Azadegan oil field and construction of a Central Treatment Export Plant (CTEP) will be signed on Monday in the presence of Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh.

Actually two contacts will be signed today; in one, Petropars will sign the document as the general contract (GC) of the project in South Azadegan.

In the other, it will undergo construction of a CTEP with 320,000 barrels/day of capacity.

South Azadegan oil field is the most important joint field in the West Karun region, which is located near the Iraqi border and about 80 km west of Ahvaz, southwestern Iran.
