According to RIPI, Jafar Tofighi appreciated the 24/7 efforts of his colleagues at RIPI, saying: "This [calendar] year, RIPI, enjoying the efforts and

esprit de corps and motivation of all its forces, has achieved many successes in the upstream, downstream, energy and environmental fields and become a powerful player in R&D of the oil and gas industry.”

He pointed to the effectiveness of the research institute in meeting the needs of the oil and gas industry of the country, and added: “Today, this complex, by having gained a detailed understanding of the industry’s needs, has implemented hundreds of projects in various sectors of the oil industry and plays projects whose technology belongs to a mere number of countries.”

The official further noted establishment of the Innovation Center as another achievement of the research institute in the year, adding: “Paying attention to innovation and knowledge-based activities has been one of the core policies of the Ministry of Petroleum that the Institute has stepped in this direction.”
