According to the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), Touraj Dehghani said that emphasized the maximum utilization of the domestic capacities in the project of constructing Goreh-Jask crude oil pipeline and the related terminal.
“It is decided to tap domestic human capital in this project with priority being given to native forces from the three provinces of Bushehr, Fars and Hormuzgan,” he said.
According to Dehghani, providing the ground for domestically manufacturing nearly 60 percent of the Gorbeh-Jask crude oil pipeline project was a major step by PEDEC.
In order to supply the required pipes for construction of the crude oil pipeline, for the first time, production of ingots, sheet metals and slabs has been provided domestically in accordance with the required standards in accordance with world standards (API 5L) and (NACE) in three major factories in Isfahan and Khuzestan provinces, he said.
The PEDEC CEO added, "From this date, the [Iranian] oil industry can supply a portion of the sour and sweet service pipes with the specifications in thicknesses greater than 12 and less than 20 mm,” and said that domestic manufacturing of the pipes save Iran 200 million Euros.
