RIPI Hosts 1st Iran-Russia Seminar on Catalysts

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The first joint Russian-Iranian seminar on catalysts and laboratory equipment was held at the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI).

Seyyed Amir Hossein Alavifar, CEO of a company in the field of laboratory equipment, said: "One of the methods to reduce production costs and dependency in the Iranian oil and gas sector is to consider the possibility of shifting the technologies from American and Western ones.”

He said the enemy has already lowered the country’s revenues by boycotting Iranian crude oil purchases and, on the other hand, imposing commercial expenses in a bid to jack up the cost of importing capital goods that play a direct role in the boom in domestic productivity.

"Therefore, considering the possibility of shifting the technologies to Eastern European countries and trying to move from political strategic relations to strategic economic relations, it is possible to reduce the degree of technological dependence on Western industries and, consequently, reduce production costs," Alaviar said.

The seminar on catalysts and laboratory equipment was held with the efforts of Artin Azmamehr Co. as the largest network for laboratory and chemicals distribution in the Eurasia region.
