According to President.ir, Dr. Rouhani told an administrative council meeting on Sunday that the country’s petrol output had doubled under his administration since 20013, adding 14 phases of the massive South Pars gas field had come online under his presidency.

He said massive compressors were imported thanks to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) implementation which led to inauguration of the joint field’s phases.

President Rouhani further said that dozens of petrochemical and refining projects had come on stream since 2013 including the landmark Persian Gulf Star Gas Condensate Refinery.

“Today 110 million liters of petrol is being produced inside the country per day which is an unprecedented figure in the history of the country,” he said.
