Petchem Talks Continue with Foreign Companies: Official

TEHRAN (Shana) – An official with the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) said that the company’s talks with foreign investors and developers were continuing on petrochemical projects in Iran.

Speaking to Shana, Hossein Alimorad, the director of investment at NPC, said attraction of fresh investment was influenced by international conditions as well as cooperation between Iran and other countries and companies.

He said Iran’s current relations with European and Asian companies and countries were based on win-win processes that would benefit the interests of both sides.

“Foreign companies, especially Asian ones, despite misleading propaganda against Iran after the US’s pulling out of the nuclear deal, are keen on joining petrochemical projects in Iran,” he added.

The official further said that an investment consortium was present in the country and was in talks with the Iranian side.
