New Petrochem Production Record in Western Iran

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The director of production control at the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) said new records had been broken in the plants operating in western Iran.

According to NPC, Ghodratollah Farajpour said  that since the beginning of the previous Iranian calendar year, which began on March 21, 2018, Lorestan Petrochemical Complex showed roughly 5% production growth, Kermanshah Polymer Plant, 8%, Kurdistan Plant 18%, and Mahabad Plant 8% compared to the preceding year.

He further said that Ilam Petrochemical Plant would become operational this year, adding that last year, Kavian project, as the main suppliers of feedstock to the West Ethylene Pipeline, registered a 36 percent production growth year-on-year, which meant more feedstock would be available for the plants that are being fed by the strategic pipeline.
