Pars Petchem Plant Ready to Start Exporting Items

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The CEO of Pars Petrochemicals Company said the plant’s styrene monomer unit operated at 106 percent of its nameplate capacity, adding the facility was ready to start exporting the items.

According to National Petrochemical Company (NPC), Mr. Hassani said his company was building two development projects jointly with Jam and Arya Sasol companies.

Outlining the plant’s development plans, he said the three petrochemicals firms had closed ranks to launch two major projects in Assaluyeh, southern Iran.

He said Pars Petrochemicals would supply a part of the feedstock needed for running the project in a bid to generate more value-added domestically.

The official also stated that after an overhaul, the monomer styrene output of his company had exceeded its installed capacity (106%) from previously only 40% of its installed production capacity.
