Zangeneh sends Letter of Condolences to OPEC Sec. Gen. on Death of Former President

TEHRAN (Shana) -- Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh sent a letter to Secretary General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) Mohammad Sanusi Barkindo to express sorrow over the demise of Dr. Alirio Parra, the President of the OPEC Conference and former Minister of Energy and Mines of Venezuela.

Excellency,

While expressing our deep sorrow on the sad news of the passing away of the late Dr. Alirio Parra, one of the most outstanding personalities in the history of OPEC, I would like to join Your Excellency and the staff of the Secretariat in conveying our sincere condolences to his esteemed family and friends on this sad occasion.

Undoubtedly, his sincere services will be always commemorated in our Organization and we pray to the God Almighty that his soul will rest in everlasting peace.
