West Karoon Oilfields Production Capacity to Rise by about 100,000 bpd

TEHRAN, Aug 29 (Shana) – Deputy Managing Director of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) Gholam-Reza Manouchehri says his company expects oil production from joint fields west of Karoon will rise by about 100,000 bpd by end of this year (to end on March 20).

Manouchehri told a joint NIOC meeting that the fields are targeted to yield up to more than 300,000 bpd by end of this year.

The official said activities for development of West Karoon oil fields should be expedited.

West Karun, located in southwest Iran, includes Yaran and Mansouri fields as well as Yadavaran, North and South Azadegan joint fields with Iraq.
