Economy Minister Confirms Removal of Pressures on Iran

TEHRAN, Aug 14(Shana) - The pressures and limitations upon Iran have been removed during this Iranian calendar year (started March 20, 2016), Iranian Finance and Economic Affairs Minister Ali Tayyebnia said on Sunday.

Improvement of Iran's relations with the international community in the post-sanctions era provides Iran's economy a unique opportunity for development, he added.

The Resistance Economy outlined by the Leader should be used to remove the effects of sanctions, economy minister added.

He noted that the Resistance Economy aim to help reaching sustainable economic growth and to remove poverty and discrimination in society.

Last July, a historic nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), was inked between Tehran and the P5+1 group of world powers, namely Russia, China, France, Britain, the US and Germany.

The accord, which took effect in January, ended decades of economic sanctions against Iran in exchange for restrictions on its nuclear program.
